Coordinate and mantain efficient transportation of Inbound/Outbound logistic services in the country. Manage the operational team looking for operational excellence, team spirit and target achievement. The purpose of the job is also to reduce Logistics costs without compromising the quality and to improve services by implementing harmonized processes and tools. Close cooperation and alignment with Business is key to success. The process responsibility goes beyond own line duty and includes improvements along the whole supply chain & foreign trade. Support Regional Logistics Team and other countries.
Responsibilities
• Manages Import, Export, Local Transport, Warehousing,Transport Procurement and all logistics related activities.
• Reviews and challenges targets, improvement proposals, business plans and budgets of units in his area.
• Participate in logistics and chemical forums, strenghtening Clariant position in the market and create network.
• Team management, being able to motivate and engagle team members on daily activities and further projects.
• Manages and negotiate logistics providers in the country (Road, rail, warehousing - high level negotiations).
• Implements Logistics processes and policies according to global/regional standards (Best Practices).
• Control Country costs and performance (OD and KPI's, such as On Time Delivery and POD on Time).
• Establishes objetives and operational targets for the team.
• Implements processes harmonization across Bu's functions and follow standards/rules for Logistics operations, implementing regional KPI's.
Requirements
• Education in Logistics, Administration, Engineer, Economy or related area, plus Master or post-studies in Logistics or Supply Chain.
• Solid experience in logistics process, import & export, warehousing.
• Knowledge in international trade, local law of DG Transport & International foreign trade regulations; safety standards, compliance.
• Strong skills in negotiation, communication, relationship, solve problems, leadership.
• Experience with SAP.
• Knowledge of domestic and international chemical market, Service Level Agreement and logistics process knowledge.
• Courses related to SCM, Purchasing and foreign trade, leadership.
• Advance english (conversational).
