Job Title: Maintenance Technician, 2nd shift
Department: Maint/Engineering
Location: Carol Stream
Type: Full Time
The Plant Maintenance Technician conducts preventative maintenance and repair work of our physical plant and manufacturing assets at the Carol Stream and Hanover Park facilities; they also perform electrical and other mechanical modifications and installations to the facility.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned
• Ensures safe operation of machinery and mechanical equipment
• Maximize productive uptime of equipment
• Executes scheduled preventative maintenance to minimize downtime
• Completes Work Order requests as needed and assigned on a timely basis
• Completes facility specific requests as needed on a timely basis
• Resolves most issues in house; electrical troubleshooting and fabrication
• Assist in maintaining a clean and orderly Maintenance shop and related areas
Principle Duties:
The person in this position will perform the following tasks:
• Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation; listening for problems; using troubleshooting techniques as required.
• Completes preventive maintenance requirements on engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines; following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications; troubleshooting malfunctions.
• Removes defective parts by dismantling devices; using hoists, cranes, and hand and power tools; examining form and texture of parts.
• Completes routine electrical repair, adjustment, and installation work
• Determines changes in dimensional requirements of parts by inspecting used parts; using rules, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments.
• Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments by using hand tools, levels, plumb bobs, and straightedges.
• Controls downtime by informing Plant Manager and production workers of routine preventive maintenance techniques; monitoring compliance.
• Fabricates repair parts by using machine shop instrumentation and equipment.
• Assists in maintaining equipment, parts, and supplies inventories as directed by Lead Technician and Maintenance Clerk
• Conserves maintenance resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.
• Provides mechanical maintenance information by answering questions and requests.
• Maintains technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing technical publications; establishing personal networks.
• Maintains continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
• Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations such as GMPs.
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. Completes special projects relating to product development and quality control.

As an Assistant Property Manager you will:
• Perform tasks associated with the operation of the property including leasing, collections, resident services, maintenance and actions to ensure compliance
• Ensure all site staff adhere to established company policies in absence of Property Manager
Reports to: Property Manager
Qualifications:
• BA in Marketing preferred, High School Diploma or G.E.D. required
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in property management, retail service or sales
• Excellent interpersonal relations, communicative skills and a customer-focused service orientation
• Knowledge in Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook) required
• Yardi Program knowledge is a plus
• Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects effectively
• Proficient in reading, writing, grammar and mathematical skills
