JOB DESCRIPTION
Position Job Title: Cashier
Reports To: Director of Accounting
Department: Accounting
Classification: Seasonal part-time
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
GENERAL PURPOSE
Compile department cash deposits into one daily deposit for JHMR, verifying accuracy of each department.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
• Responsible for all monies deposited into the drop safe, verifying accuracy of each deposit for that particular sales location.
• Distribute & track seasonal banks for profit centers. Collect change banks after mountain closes.
• Compile all deposits into company daily deposit.
• Verify profit center safe counts bi-monthly.
• Maintain accurate change bank for the company and disburse change to managers as needed.
• Keeps cash room secure.
• Able to work independently with limited supervision.
OTHER FUNCTIONS
• Perform additional accounting functions as requested.
• Present a positive image to employees and the community.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITY:
• Solid computer abilities, including proficiency in MS Excel
• Detail oriented
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
• High School Education
PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
• Previous experience handling cash preferred
MATERIAL AND EQUIPMENT DIRECTLY USED
• Typical office equipment
• Bill counter
WORK ENVIRONMENT
This job operates primarily in a clerical office setting. This role routinely uses computer and phone. Most work is completed in an indoor environment. Occasional outdoor environment to visit profit centers. Outdoor environment may cause exposure to extreme temperatures and varying weather.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
• Ability to lift 20lbs of coin boxes
• Ability to crouch, bend and kneel
• Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time
