Local Government Service Commission is inviting applications from suitably qualified Malawians for the following vacancies existing at M’mbelwa District Council.
POSITION : SENIOR ASSISTANT SOCIAL WELFARE OFFICER
GRADE : J/M9
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION
Applicants should have a Diploma in either Social Work, Sociology or Psychology, Community Development, Rural Development, or Education (Humanities) or Guidance and Counselling from a recognized institution.
DUTIES:
Assess and assist clients with social problems in accordance with case work.
Provide counselling and psychosocial support to individuals and groups experiencing social distress and public institutions such a Hospitals.
Coordinate the provision of public assistance and relief to those found in destitute and emergency situations.
Compiling social reports.
Perform any other duties that may be assigned from time to time by high authorities.
