The Children’s Fund Malawi & Green Malata Entrepreneurial Training Village are two local Malawian organisations working with children in the community of T/A Mthiramanja in Mulanje district. We are looking for a new Welding and Fabrication Trainer from 11 January, 2022.The trainer will be responsible for teaching students both theory lessons and practical lessons, ensuring that they gain the knowledge and skills that are required for entry-level employment and startup businesses. The trainer will be responsible for sound educational practices and the academic development of each student. The trainer will manage their classroom environment and promote a positive and engaging learning experience, provide support, tutoring and other assistance as needed. The trainer is to “model” the professional behavior, language, and activities expected of our students.Essential functions and responsibilities:Provide an engaging experience using student assessment mechanisms, and classroom management techniques.Ensure that each student has been presented with the material to successfully meet the learning objectives of each course within a student’s program of study.Ensure that instructional materials and equipment are ready for student use, sufficient in quantity, are properly maintained and are in working order prior to class time.Actively take part in meetings, review and analyze assessment data, compile reports, and meet academic and administrative deadlines.Ensure campus compliance, adhere to guidelines and internal policies of the institution.Ability to follow syllabus and amend syllabus where needed, generate lesson plans and deliver all lessons within the training period.Strong written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills with demonstrated success in collaborating with diverse groups of employees and customers.Demonstrate the highest levels of integrity and professionalism in all aspects, including appearance, demeanor, and attitude.Be able to work in an observation/coaching style environmentPrioritize, accept responsibility, and work within deadlinesSuperior organizational and problem-resolution skillsMinimum Qualifications:Solid computer software skills, including Microsoft Office wordFour years working experience in welding and fabricationThose with teaching experience will have an added advantage.Applicants must possess a certificate in welding and fabrication attained from any reputable institution .All qualified candidates must send their CV and cover letter to [email protected] and copy [email protected] by 30th December, 2021
