About the Role
We are searching for a rockstar Senior Medical Editor to add to our Editorial Services team. The Senior Medical Editor will serve as the point person, coordinating proofreading/copyediting; fact checking; and art, digital, and/or production services on behalf of the lead editor for the team.
Specific Responsibilities Include:
• Managing discrete editorial projects through completion, including slides, print materials, digital projects, websites, and apps
• Editing and incorporating changes and participating in medical/legal and internal review sessions throughout the project
• Planning and implementing editorial projects using project management software
Qualifications/Skills
• Medical marketing agency and/or pharmaceutical industry experience preferred
• Independent work ethic and ability to work under minimal supervision
• Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and function effectively in stressful situations where deadlines, client demands, and budget decisions are required
• Excellent oral and written communication and time management skills
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to participate constructively and effectively in meetings with a clear understanding of individual action items
• Proactive problem-solving skills regarding communications with the team and client
• Proficiency using software applications such as Microsoft® Word, Excel, Acrobat Professional, and PowerPoint
