Taking the lead and strategically directing the management of QSHE across the Kuehne + Nagel Government and Defense Business unit. This role will see you providing support to facilitate & coordinate QSHE & Training Management Systems to meet the standards for Quality (ISO9001), Safety & Health (OHSAS45001) and Environment (ISO14001) along with all associated certification and legislation. Your Role
Hold responsibility and management of the following functions, staff and associated budgets, QHSE, Training and Security.
We set our standards high and likewise you will ensure all certification, including but not limited to CAA-MAA, MRP145, MHRA Certification and legislation, Dangerous Goods Legal Requirements are met and sustained. To provide ongoing support to Operational Directors / Operational teams and across Team Leidos and enhance the standards of the operation and to achieve defined levels of Compliance.
This role also combines leadership for the development, implementation communication and maintenance of the Health Safety and Environmental within the Team Leidos Umbrella Your Responsibilities
• As part of the Senior Leadership Team you will provide strategic input and functional leadership deploying QSHE+ activities driven from KN head office and KNUK central teams.
• To uphold the ethical and safety standards of the company and ensure all staff are suitable trained and meet the statutory Airworthiness and MHRA requirements of the MOD.
• Align all applicable operations with the requirement of all standards to include Pharma chain and to ensure EU Directives, Regulations and EU/MHRA Guidelines on Good Distribution Practice (GDP) are implemented and are in compliance.
• To act as focal point for QSHE+ and ensure GDP is maintained and aligned across all Pharma managed areas to ensure operations do not compromise the quality of medicines.
• Support with audit activities and be the Point of Contact for relevant customer and BU support.
• Be a named individual within the `Controlled drugs Home office` License for the destruction of controlled drugs.
• To lead and support with new business opportunities and drive excellence within the QSHE+ methodology.As a key contributor to the KNGD leadership team you will drive the QSHE+ culture and work collaboratively across all areas to promote the `One KN` approach.
Your Skills and Experiences
• Hold a level 6 certificate Health & Safety competency
• Dangerous Goods Safety Advisor
• Experienced in Accountable Manager responsibilities (MRP145- F4)
• Technical Knowledge of the requirements of COMAH / CAA-MAA / ISO standards / MPAS and associated legislation
• Strong Leadership and operational management experience along with experience of managing employee relations and customer/trading relations.
• Lead Auditor across multiple disciplines
