This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and innovative teacher to play a pivotal role in the strategic leadership of the Sixth Form at Shrewsbury High School.

The Director of Sixth Form holds a key strategic role in the school, leading a “school within a school” and has responsibility for the day to day running of the Sixth Form, as well as its strategic development.

The Director of Sixth Form will be expected to teach up to a 50% timetable which is likely to include delivery of part of the Sixth Form Leadership Programme. All staff also contribute to the school’s thriving co-curricular programme. Our Middle Leadership Team is a dynamic, forward thinking and very supportive team.

The successful candidate will have strong management experience, an excellent understanding of pastoral and academic matters, the ability to engage students, staff, parents and the wider community and the vision and enthusiasm to build on the existing high standards.

This position offers tremendous opportunities for career development for those aspiring to Senior Leadership in the future.
