About The AerialThe Aerial is a transformational, all-inclusive private island resort in the British Virgin Islands (BVI). By helping us provide an elevating experience for our world-changing clientele and their causes, you will be part of an incredible international movement. Responsibilities: The Watersports & Activities Manager is responsible for the incredible variety and delivery of The Aerial’s guest activities. This includes overseeing and executing all guest activities including watersports, gym, board games and any other activity guests partake in while on island. They will supervise logistics, watersports, land activities, hiking outings, and organize off-island excursions. They are also responsible for all power boats, ensuring they are well-managed, adhere to safety standards and that all logistical requirements are met. They will also support all other departments, working closely with the front of house team to ensure that the guest experience is to the highest standard. Qualifications / Experience:Experience working as a manager in a 5-star establishmentPrevious experience working as a Watersports & Activities Manager or in a similar role, with minimum of 2+ years’ experience leading an on-the-ground teamBoat qualifications (minimum Power Boat Level II / STCW 95)Qualifications in both water and land-based activities such as sailing, paddle boarding, kitesurfing, fitness Current first aid qualificationsExperience overseeing boat fleet including implementing and overseeing a rigid maintenance scheduleExperience managing day-to-day logistics in a busy guest environmentExperience dealing with guest complaints and feedbackClean driver’s license (BVI driver’s license needs to be in place by end of probation period)Experience, training and qualifications within the health and wellness industry a plusExperience working in a Caribbean environment a plusExperience working in a company with focus on health/wellness/nutrition a plus We’re looking for:Extroverted, fun and highly motivated team players with a high degree of attention to detailResourceful approach with the ability to troubleshoot when necessary and performing gracefully under pressureForward-thinker with an innovative approach to problem-solvingConfident and assertive in running a team, acting as a mentor and manager through strong instruction and coaching skills Organized and able to plan and manage complex logistical challengesPassion and pride in their workAble to work with and accommodate different culturesSocially confident, excellent communicator with professional guest service skillsHigh sense of responsibility with regard to safety issuesPassion for a healthy lifestyle and keen to learn about health and wellness Package & Benefits: Minimum 12-month contract (subject to work permit approval)Competitive salaryDiscretionary bonus will be awarded on an annual basis based on company and job performance (upon successfully passing 4 month probation period)Island service charge and gratuities (at guest discretion)15 days paid holiday per year and public holidays Accommodation/accommodation allowance providedMeals/ food provided for while on shiftInitial flights from the country of residence (and return at end of contract) if relevantGym membership allowanceHeadspace and Audible subscriptionMedical cover…and being part of an incredible and inspiring environment that is solving world issues
