Commercial Properties Limited is a commercial real estate development and property management company based in Saint John, New Brunswick. The company was incorporated in January 1964 and owns and manages a property portfolio of more than one million square feet, inclusive of Class A and Class B office space as well as commercial and industrial warehouse space in many Maritime communities. Their strategy is to expand their real estate portfolio with a focus on office and industrial properties in selected regions of the Maritimes, as well as focusing on sustainability through energy management information systems and energy consumption reduction. Commercial Properties Limited is seeking an accomplished President to drive its continued growth and oversee strategic direction and daily operations. Reporting to the CEO and Board of Commercial Properties Limited, the President is responsible for overseeing real estate growth and development, property management, and financial performance, while fostering a collaborative and inclusive work environment. The successful candidate will manage new developments, asset optimization, and build strong relationships with tenants, vendors and industry stakeholders to achieve operational excellence and business success. They will provide exceptional leadership, fostering a positive and supportive work environment that ensures high employee satisfaction and engagement.
The ideal candidate is a strategic leader who prioritizes high-return investments, drives innovation, and has a track record of meeting long-term growth goals while holding senior leaders accountable. This person will have proven experience in the real estate industry, with a strong preference for expertise in managing office and industrial property assets. They excel in building partnerships, influencing stakeholders, and fostering leadership development. Possession of an undergraduate degree (Business or a related field) is sought, and completion of an advanced level degree is considered an asset. With over 10 years of cross-functional leadership experience, they possess strong business acumen, decision-making skills, and the ability to inspire collaboration and achieve results. This person will be based in Saint John, NB, working from their office located in the Red Rose Building.
