Responsibilities
Designing,maintaining, implementing, or improving electrical instruments, facilities,components, or systems.
Perform a wide rangeof engineering task by operating computer-aided design or engineering software.
Ensuring compliancewith specifications, codes, or requirements by directing or coordinatinginstallation, testing, commissioning, maintenance, documentation, and supportactivities.
Writing report andcompiling data regarding existing and potential electrical engineering projectand studies.
Preparingspecifications for purchases of electrical equipment and materials.
Supervise or trainingproject team members.
Estimating material,labor, or construction costs for budget preparation
Ensuring thatinstallation and operations conform to standards and requirements by preparingelectrical systems specifications, technical drawings, or Bill of materials.
Install, test,maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical wiring, fixtures, control devicesand equipment.
Operates boilers andperform related maintenance duties on the same
Perform preventivemaintenance through inspection of electrical systems, equipment, and component.
Maintain the plantearthing system and re-condition it as necessary.
Documents informationon preventive maintenance file on electrical equipment and machinery andmonitor a preventive maintenance program.
Work on otherelectrical projects as required.
Operates and care fora variety of standard power tools, equipment, and trenchers in electricalinstallation.
Provides guidance anddirection to less experiences personnel and others assigned to his/herposition.
Perform other dutiesas instructed by the Management
Requirements Knowledge and Experience
Bachelor’sdegree (B. Sc Electrical Engineering or Equivalent)
Minimum Required: 2 years in a similar positionin a busy manufacturing or processing industry.
Demonstrate practical knowledge ofElectrical Engineering principles and practices.
Proficient computer skills
Be able to efficiently analyze a problem domain and recommend effective development approaches.
Excellent verbal and writtencommunication skills both in English and Swahili
Ability to multitask,prioritize and manage time efficiently
Accurate and preciseattention to details
Ability to work well withmanagement and staff at all levels
Technical troubleshootingskills
Ability to follow any new proceduresand guidelines
Collaborate effectively with other teammembers
