Are you ready to shape the future of maritime education? The ideal candidate combines experience in managing educational programs with the ability to develop systems for the sustainability and growth of our MHS partnership. You will collaborate with and support the Maritime Program Manager, who manages integrated partnerships and strategic planning for this maritime education project. We seek an energetic, committed, and collaborative program-builder to lead one of our flagship programs into its next phase of growth.Northwest Maritime (NWM) is an innovative non-profit organization, offering a dynamic work environment where collaboration, open communication, frequent exchange of ideas, and teamwork allow us to provide transformative maritime experiences for our students. NWM is a founding partner of MHS, part of the Highline Public School District in Des Moines, WA. This school approach is student-centered, maritime-focused, and equity-driven. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSProven work experience as a team leader with excellent communication skills, strong organizational and systems thinking skills as well as problem-solving and time-management skillsAbility to design and facilitate engaging, rigorous, and inclusive participatory education and/or Project Based Learning experiences.Demonstrated experience in the maritime field Demonstrated program development, curriculum development, and/or leadership experience in an educational settingCurrent first aid/CPR or training plan to achieve this certificationAbility to lift and carry gear up to 50lbsWork offers are contingent on a satisfactory pre-employment background check and drug test.
