Title: Head of Planning
Reports to: Group Chief Operations Officer
Location: Kigali -Africa HQ office (KG 7 Avenue, Kigali Heights – Floor 4)

Bboxx and its group of companies is one of the largest networks in Africa, with over 4,000 staff across Africa and offices in the UK and Asia.
Role Brief:
The Head of Planning is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing strategic planning initiatives and processes within the organization. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment between the organization's goals, resources, and activities.
What you can expect to be doing:
• Lead parts of the Group business planning processes, partner with teams across the business to develop their planning assumptions and forecasts. This includes but is not limited to Supply Chain, Commercial, Finance and Operations.
• Work closely with the Group Finance Team to review and challenge the models’ key assumptions.
• Support the COO and the Executive Team to build a strategic plan for each Opco for profitability and growth.
• Support the COO and the Executive Team to set the Opcos goals and objectives that promote growth for each market.
• Own the strategic path to Opcos profitability based on cost structure and Revenue.
• Prepare detailed analyses to support major investment initiatives across Opcos and track performance of those initiatives’ vs the plan.
• Optimize Opcos monthly, quarterly, & annual forecasting processes and variance reporting
• Coordinate all the pricing discussions on hardware, software and shared service to make sure that we have a clear offering that makes sense financially for our Opcos with the required analysis done to convince our different Opco investors and stakeholders.
• Assist with various Opco Boards and Investor packages, including during fundraising processes.
Lead and manage an effective planning function, support projects and operations to deliver the long-term Opco business objectives.
What we are looking for:
• MBA or Relevant International commercial experience in a leadership role for 5-10 years.
• A Certified Chartered Accountant or equivalent qualification (ACA/ACCA/CIMA/CFA, etc..)
• Highly proficient at financial modelling
• Experience in data analytics and visualization tools (Power BI) - Expert Excel chops, including modeling and data analytics.
• Must be proactive and a solutions-based thinker, who can independently identify improvements, provide insights and challenge what has been done before.
• Ability to inspire people’s trust in what you are doing through strong communication, interpersonal skills and quality of delivery.
• Highly detailed approach to planning and execution of work and take pride in delivering exceptional quality.
• Experience of multi-national or fast-paced business environments
• Proven ability to remain flexible and articulate clear communication.
• Knowledge of African markets.
