ABOUT THE COMPANY
Baringo County is situated in the Rift Valley Region and shares borders with 8 counties namely, West Pokot to the North West, Turkana to the North, Samburu to the North East, Laikipia to the East, Nakuru to the South, Kericho and Uasin-Gishu Counties to the South West, and Elgeyo-Marakwet to the West. The County is divided into 6 Sub-Counties, namely Baringo South, Mogotio, Eldama Ravine, Baringo Central, Baringo North and Tiaty
JOB SUMMARY
Requirements for Appointment 1) Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Engineering, Environmental and Bio systems Engineering or related field; 2) Registered by Institute of Engineers of Kenya (IEK) or Engineer’s Board of Kenya (EBK) 3) Must have at least 2 years’ experience in similar work 4) Computer literate with knowledge on related Computer packages 5) Possess Proposal development skills, 6) Good Communication skills, 7) To have resource mobilization skills,
RESPONSIBILITIES
1) To provide technical advice on use of farm machinery, plants, structures and equipment 2) Guiding Project management teams and committees 3) Guiding tender evaluation committees on bills of quantities and engineer’s estimates 4) Supervising construction of agricultural projects and structures 5) Supervising soil and water conservation 6) Advising on farm power and mechanization 7) Advising on irrigation and drainage programmes 8) Advising on Designing Agricultural machinery ,plants structures , components and equipment 9) Advising on installation and testing of agricultural machinery and equipment 10) Advising on Designs food processing plants and operations 11) Designing structures of storage 12) Implement any other relevant county/sub-county activities as may be assigned by the supervisor
