JOB DESCRIPTION
Summary
At DuPont, we strive to create a sustainable future through science and innovation. As a Data Engineer on our team, you will play a critical role in enabling us to achieve that vision by designing and implementing data pipelines and systems that support our image processing initiatives.
Job Responsibility
• Design, build, and maintain efficient and reliable data architectures using Databricks and Spark.
• Develop and optimize ETL workflows to ingest and process large volumes of structured and unstructured data.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and translate them into actionable engineering tasks.
• Incorporate object-oriented design principles into data processing workflows.
• Monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines to ensure high data quality and system availability.
• Communicate complex technical information to non-technical individuals in a clear and concise manner.
Qualifications
• Bachelor's or advanced degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• 1-3 years of experience in software engineering, with a focus on data engineering and processing.
• Strong proficiency in Python and SQL.
• Experience with Databricks and Spark.
• Expertise and proven experience in Microsoft Azure Cloud PasS development (Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Lake Storage, and Azure Databricks, etc.) will be a plus.
• Solid understanding of ETL processes and data warehousing principles.
• Knowledge of Azure DevOps / Git for code repository.
• A deep understanding of object-oriented programming.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated leadership ability
