PATH seeks a Finance and Operations Officer to play the finance, administration, and operations role within the Malaria Program Team in Haut-Katanga/Lubumbashi-DRC. The successful applicant will report to the Senior Project Administrator (SPADM) based in Kinshasa and will collaborate closely with the Provincial Surveillance, M&E Advisor and Finance Officer in Haut-Katanga and the Project Operations Officer, Finance Associate, Program Assistant in Kinshasa. The Finance and Operations Officer should ensure full alignment/understanding with BMGF orientations regarding projects objectives and deliverables and all actions taken should be compliant with donor’s terms and conditions and PATH policies and procedures. Responsibilities: Collaborate with projects members to provide support in the implementation of projects as defined in the work plan. Serve as a point of contact for administrative matters for the program team Monitor the financial execution project activities in Haut-Katanga Perform weekly financial analysis by comparing budgets to expenses and identify variances and explain them Manage payment requests and ensure the immediate execution of actions concerning MACEPA project Manage requests for financial support for MACEPA activities and ensure timeliness in the processing of accounting transactions and payments Enter transactions into BW and make the necessary reclassifications to rebalance the budget accounts Prepare, upload required supporting documents for procurements and payments in the financial system (Business World) and ensure quality control that all financial transactions are properly coded and charged to the correct project codes Monitor all MACEPA advances for reconciliation and is responsible for workshops advances Work closely with the procurement team to coordinate the purchase of project services and supplies Track the payment of all invoices received from suppliers of MACEPA project and ensure that they are paid Posting invoices/expenses (WAR, WER and RAT TER if necessary) and follow up with the accounting Assist the project team in reviewing the payment lists from for the preparation of Mobile Money and coordinating the logistics with regards supporting documents for various payment Support the Project Operations Officer in supporting field logistics with regard to the practicalities and efficiency of implementing program activities and procurement Support the Project Operations Officer in the procurement of project supplies and other office consumable Carry out quarterly inventory of all equipment purchased for the project Ensure Voucher and files related to project expenses records as are properly filed and stored Any other related tasks as assigned from time to time. Required Skills and Experience: Bachelor's degree in finance and accounting Minimum three (3) to five (5) years of experience acquired in an accounting firm or in a company, preferably with international NGOs Advanced Microsoft Office skills, especially Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint Ability to work with multiple teams across diverse background Strong analytical & organizational skills Adaptable to changing priorities Effective time management. Experience working under deadlines Proven ability to work in a team environment with minimal supervision Fluency in French including excellent written and oral communication skills Good knowledge of English will be an asset PATH is dedicated to building an inclusive workforce where diversity is valued.
