Position offered: National Director (M/F) - Brazzaville
As part of the growth of the office, we are looking for a dynamic and committed National Director (M/F) , with knowledge and experience of the region, to develop and lead the WWF RC This is a newly created position.
Mission:
Shape the conservation and sustainability agenda of the Congo Brazzaville Country Office to meet WWF's global priorities at national, regional and global levels; and contribute to strong leadership within the WWF network.
Main duties and responsibilities:
• Develop and lead a high performing National Office with effective operational systems, professional and competent staff, and strong financial resources, delivering conservation impact in key locations for WWF network initiatives and other global conservation priorities, positioning it as the leading conservation INGO at national, regional and global levels;
• Drive the vision, strategic planning and future institutional development of the WWF National Office in the Republic of Congo;
• Be responsible for the management of the WWF RC National Office and ensure that it is managed effectively and efficiently in all key programme areas: Conservation, Finance and Administration, Human Resources, Partnership Development, Communication, Fundraising, Monitoring and Evaluation, and Quality Assurance;
• Provide effective leadership and line management for all members of the National Management Team;
• Represent WWF RC at network meetings with government, private sector leaders, key supporters and stakeholders.

Profile:
Required qualifications:
• At least 039 years of professional experience in a leadership role, including 039 to 039 years in the Congo Basin, with proven results in managing multidisciplinary teams. Experience with conservation NGOs will be a great asset;
• Master's degree in business management, international relations, development or other related fields. A degree in an environmental or conservation related field will be an advantage;
• Proven experience in successfully developing, leading and managing large-scale programs and/or institutions in conservation, natural resource management, international development and/or other related fields;
• Excellent oral and written communication skills in English and French. Fluency in other national languages of the Republic of Congo will be an asset.
Required skills and competencies:
• Strong and demonstrable leadership in external engagement, strategic partnerships, policy and influencing with the public sector, private sector and funding agencies;
• Empowering leadership style in building strong management and operations teams to improve program delivery, quality assurance, operational effectiveness and risk management;
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills that support the ability to represent the Organization in a range of local and international forums, the media and the general public;
• High-level negotiation, collaboration and influencing skills, as well as the ability to develop and maintain strong relationships at all levels in business, non-profit, science and policy;
• Adherence to the mission and values of the WWF Organization: Courage, Integrity, Respect and Collaboration.
