Technical Director Level Design
Ubisoft's teams are driven by their desire to enrich the lives of players by original and memorable entertainment experiences. Our studio, located in the heart of Annecy, is part of a leading French video game company represented in 30 different countries, with opportunities for international development.
Key Responsibilities:
• Define and enforce best practices and guidelines with the design teams technical needs to carry out the creative vision by validating the game features and challenging the interpretation to assess technical feasibility;
• Establish and improve workflows and data structures to standardize work methods and ensure the validity and integrity of the data by drafting pipeline documents, setting up a common classification system, relevant trainings and supervising with the design department;
• Prototype possible new gameplay features and provide guidance to the design team on how to use the features to articulate the creative visions;
• Review and follow up with works at various stages of implementation to ensure the execution matches the creative visions and quality requirements;
Requirements:
• Relevant experience in the video game industry, developing AA or AAA games as a Technical Level Designer and ideally already experienced the role of an Associate Technical Director Level Design;
• Programming / scripting knowledge (blueprint or C++);
• Knowledge of procedural design such as Houdini;
• Proficiency in English;
