We’re looking for enthusiastic, fun, and energetic people who take the work seriously, but not themselves. Let’s see if we’re a fit. We hope so. Pool Servers are responsible to greet customers as they arrive and take orders. Pool Servers are expected to be cordial, pleasant and welcoming as customer satisfaction and retention is their prime concern. Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: High school diploma or GED equivalent. Prior job-related experience preferred. Computer literate. Food Handlers Card 7th/8th grade math skills required. Ability to communicate effectively with the public and other employees. Read, write, and speak English fluently. No employee will pose a direct threat to the health/safety of self or others. Physical Requirement: Ability to speak and hear. Close and distance vision Identify and distinguish colors. Frequent walking with some standing at times. Will walk for long periods of time, possibly extended distances. Frequently lifts/carries up to 25 lbs Occasionally lifts/carries up to 50 lbs. Continual use of manual dexterity and gross motor skills with frequent use of bimanual dexterity and fine motor skills. Able to reach hands and arms in any direction and kneel and stoop repeatedly. Duties: Assist guests courteously and efficiently according to hotel standard Ensures that workstation is clean at all the times. Keep chairs and tables clean and clear of debris. Take customer food and beverage orders Set upside station. Ensure that all silver and glasses are wiped and spotless. Mark tickets appropriately to food orders Enter all sales in POS system without errors. Double check list of items before "sending". Make sure that all product served are accounted for on the final bill before presenting it. Ensure that food is delivered in a timely manner. Verify guest satisfaction with each table. Anticipate guest needs. At the end of the shift deliver all checks and report to the appropriate place according to rules. Adhere to all the opening and closing duties. Adhere to all cash handling policies. Attend daily pre shift/communication meeting Generate a good atmosphere Make sure all pool and beach furniture is neatly arranged and cleaned as well. Bring all necessary towels out to the pool area and place them neatly on the towel table with ends facing the bar and colors coordinated. Towels are to be placed neatly on the towel stand. Adhere to towel card standard operating procedures. Provide guests with towel and chair service. Check all trash bins and empty towel bins. Open all umbrellas, clean tabletops, and wipe off all chairs. Any other duties assigned by Supervisor.
