We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated .NET Core Engineer to join a dedicated project support team, providing exceptional technical support and maintenance services to a specific client. This role is hybrid and is open for candidates based in Islamabad/ Rawalpindi.
As a .NET Core Engineer, you will be responsible for troubleshooting, debugging, and resolving software issues related to .NET Core applications and frameworks while also been involved in the continuous development of their applications. Your role will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure timely resolution of client's technical problems and to provide effective solutions.
The suitable candidate will need to be a team player, self-motivated, and keen to work with existing software engineering personnel. The candidate should have excellent communication skills, both written and oral, excellent customer engagement skills, the ability to problem solve, the ability to work on multiple incidents simultaneously and see tasks through to their resolution.
This opportunity should allow the successful candidate to expand their experience of .NET Core, bringing their skills, existing customer engagement, and technical knowledge to the role. Responsibilities:
• Provide expert-level technical support and troubleshooting for .NET Core applications used by the client.
• Diagnose and resolve software issues, bugs, and performance problems in a timely manner.
• Help develop new features by working together with other departments.
• Collaborate closely with the client's technical team to understand their requirements and provide effective solutions.
• Participate in regular client meetings to discuss ongoing support activities, project updates, and issue resolutions.
• Filter and resolve escalated issues within the support, acting as a main point of contact for other engineers to resolve issues beyond their skill set and knowledge.
• Drives Root Cause Analysis effort for critical incidents requiring actions to prevent reoccurrence.
• Expected to complete work-related training and learning to obtain relevant Microsoft Certifications.
Requirements
• Demonstrable experience as a commercial software engineer. (essential)
• Strong experience working with .NET Core, including ASP.NET Core, Angular, C#, and related frameworks.
• Experience working in Microsoft Azure cloud environment.
• Azure / Cloud concepts Knowledge (App services, Azure Functions, App insight)
• Good knowledge of MS SQL Server.
• Solid understanding of software development principles, design patterns, and best practices.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting and debugging .NET Core applications using tools like Visual Studio and related diagnostics tools.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills with strong analytical skills.
• Strong Interpersonal skills with the ability to support and communicate with clients on all levels.
• Ability to work on own initiative and be self-motivated.
• Ability to work effectively with cross-functional members of the team.
• A strong desire and ability to learn new platforms and technologies.
Required
• Bachelor's Degree in any discipline. Computer Science (desirable)
• Relevant technical accreditations are highly desirable.
