About the Role:
As a Student Counselor, you will guide and mentor students and their families in navigating study destinations, universities, admission processes, and current trends for the UK, USA, Canada, and Australia. Reporting directly to the Director of Counseling, you’ll play a crucial role in helping students achieve their academic and career aspirations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide tailored guidance to students in selecting the right study destination and universities based on their academic profiles and career goals.
• Assess and analyze students’ abilities, interests, and learning styles to help them identify suitable courses and career paths.
• Conduct comprehensive research to pinpoint the best programs, universities, and scholarship opportunities.
• Assist undergraduate and postgraduate students in completing their applications through various portals, including UCAS, Common App, and others.
• Guide students in crafting compelling personal statements and essays to strengthen their applications.
• Develop effective testing strategies for standardized exams (SAT, GRE, IELTS, etc.) and support students in achieving successful placements.
• Prepare students for university, visa, and credibility interviews, ensuring they are equipped for success.
• Offer transition support to students as they embark on their academic journeys, ensuring a smooth experience.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
• Master’s degree from a reputable university in a relevant field.
• 1-3 years of proven experience in student counseling or a similar role.
• Exceptional communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
• Strong analytical, mentoring, and counseling skills.
• In-depth knowledge of university admissions processes and standardized testing requirements.
• Ability to provide personalized support, fostering trust and strong relationships.
• Passion for guiding students toward their academic and career goals with a focus on outstanding customer service.
Job Type: Full-time, onsite
