The West Kowloon Cultural District Authority welcomes exceptional talent with a passion to realise the vision and mission of making the West Kowloon Cultural District a prime local and international destination for arts, culture and entertainment. Internship Period: 6 months (Full time) Intake 2: October 2024 – March 2025 If you are passionate about arts and culture and looking for an internship experience, join the West Kowloon Performing Arts Internship Programme this year to learn about and explore one of the most important cultural projects in Hong Kong. A unique opportunity for graduates interested in developing a career in the performing arts field. Interns will work closely with professional staff in the Performing Arts Division full-time for a period of around six months. They will gain practical and theoretical training in programming, operations as well as technical arts and theatre & events productions. This is a paid internship that runs on a recurring basis, with openings every year. You will be able to Learn about WestK's Performing Arts facilities and their current development and technical and productions; Gain practical and theoretical training in performing arts through active involvement in our day-to-day theatre operations and stage management; Research topics that will contribute to the development of the Performing Arts facilities and upcoming programmes; and Working closely with internal team and external parties in providing technical and productions support to performing arts events. You will need to be a permanent resident of the Hong Kong Special Administrative region; possess bachelor degree or above in Technical arts, such as theatre and event & management, stage technology and rigging, lighting design and technology, sound design and technology, architecture or project management disciplines; A strong interest in working professionally in stage technical field Ideally, some relevant working experiences in supporting stage performance. demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills and be able to work both independently and cooperatively with others; and have excellent oral and written communication skills in English and Chinese Good computer skills (AutoCAD) are preferred APPLICATION: Candidates must be permanent residents of Hong Kong Special Administrative Region at the time of appointment unless specific otherwise.
