Our client, a custom software development/digital supply chain business catering to the mining industry, currently seeks to appoint multiple Field Service Technicians to join their growing team in Kimberly, Northern Cape. In this role, you will provide technical services at various mines in Kimberly and surrounding areas.
Minimum Requirements:
• Completed secondary schooling
• A+ and N+ certification; or equivalent qualifications
• 1 year and 6 months' experience providing field technical services, as well as technical inspections and preventative maintenance work at client sites
• Valid driver's license
• Flexibility to travel up to 75% of time is essential
• Willing to work standby and nightshift hours
• Valid passport as training takes place in South Africa
• Willing to able to travel to South Africa for training
• Physically-fit
Main duties will include, but are not limited to:
• Delivering technical services at customer sites
• Basic customer problem-solving, providing operation and maintenance on client site.
• Service contract site visits - repair work; technical inspections and recommendations at site; preventive maintenance work at site
• Local installation and start-up support of pre-assembled products
• Providing specific technical discipline work at site
• Identifying sales leads and promoting services offering.
• Deliver site reports, Job cards, travel expenses reports, Stock Reports, after all jobs performed Ensure proper fulfilment of all SHEQ rules and regulations of Company and the customer.
• Perform safety inspection at workplace prior to start the job.
• Correct usage of PPE
• Reporting any unsafe condition on site
