ERG Africa requires a well experienced Supply Chain Manager for our Frontier Mine in Sakania, DRC. The Incumbent will be responsible for the performance of the reporting units at site including external and internal key performance indicators (KPIs). It is the responsibility of the Supply Chain Manager to ensure performance meets ERGA’s strategy, requirements, and policies.
The Supply Chain Manager is expected to provide direction and support for continuous improvement efforts, while upholding ERGA standards as well as lead multiple teams with proficient managerial capabilities and lead change management efforts to support continuous improvements.

Responsibilities:
• Support the COO on site and CCO to define and implement ERGA’s strategy and objectives, providing quality and timely service to all sites.
• Spearhead matters pertaining to procurement, inventory, warehousing and logistics operations activities, including strategic, tactical, business development and personnel.
• Spearhead process of sale of obsolete inventory and scrap.
• Organize, lead, and manage the Supply Chain operations team in full accordance with ERGA policies, standard operating procedures, and work instructions.
• Provide management and oversight of KPIs via the performance.
• Lead the identification of continuous improvement processes and opportunities and ensure timely implementation within the SC team and in coordination with other ERGA teams (i.e. sourcing, finance and IT), including adequate tools and systems.
• Apply a structured methodology and lead change management activities across supply chain operations.
• Act as a key liaison with sites on procurement, fulfilment, logistics, and freight related issues.
• Contribute and work toward improvement of fulfilment processes and adherence to donor general procurement guidelines and policy.
• Oversee and work towards improvement of logistics performance, transportation routes and load management and Freight Forwarders contracting and performance.
• Contribute to ERGA’s market intelligence.
• Provide regular progress and status reports to the GM and CCO (ERGA’s Top management).
• Support the GM in creating and maintaining the ERGA culture.
• Coordinate procurement planning, aggregation of demand, and technical inputs to the Sourcing / Category Management Team.
• Proactively lead and empower the supply chain managers to encourage operational excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
• Ensure SC staff use high quality communications with sites, vendors, and principal recipients.
• Participate / lead in regular Commercial team meetings, as required.
• Oversee and contribute to the development of and/or generation and distribution of project reports and other communication as required.
• Support / Lead special ERGA activities/initiatives as required
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree or relevant professional degree (MCIPS Level 6, FCILT) in logistics, procurement, supply chain management, business management, or a relevant field. Master’s degree preferred.
• 10+ years diversified and progressive work experience in procurement, order fulfilment, logistics, and/or supply chain systems with multiple international donors in multinational environments with at least 3 years in managerial role.
Skills and Competencies:
• Strong leadership and proven ability to recruit, direct, train, and manage teams of personnel.
• Experience with large-scale organizational change efforts and continuous improvement efforts.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities within deadline and prioritize effectively, while delivering high quality work.
• Solution oriented with a high sense of quality, attention to detail, accuracy, efficiency, and meeting tight deadlines.
• Prefer significant experience working with international donors.
• Strong negotiation skills at a senior level with international manufacturing companies.
• Excellent written/verbal communication and interpersonal skills with strong sense of client service.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously, set priorities, and work in a team with diverse cultural backgrounds.
• Experience in the Mining/Metallurgy or Oil and Gas industry is a plus.
• Experience working in a developing country is a plus.
• Ability to work comfortably with Microsoft Office software, specifically Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Experience with ERP or procurement/supply chain management software.
• Fluency in English is required. Knowledge of French is an advantage.
• Willingness and availability to travel, and perform other duties as needed
