Job Summary
We are seeking a highly experienced Drilling and Workover Operations Supervisor to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising and overseeing the operations of contract drilling or workover rigs engaged in carrying out programmed work.
Key Responsibilities
• Supervise and oversee all operations performed on our wells.
• Make recommendations on alternative methods or equipment when unusual situations are encountered.
• Coordinate deliveries of materials to the well to ensure it is available when required.
• Ensure that the contractor meets all requirements of his contract.
• Work with Drilling and Workover engineers to ensure modern drilling practices are followed.
• Approve contractor's daily tour report.
• Ensure that contractor rig and equipment are properly maintained to avoid downtime.
• Perform other miscellaneous duties as directed by Supt.
• Ensure that our blowout prevention standards are met in all respects including equipment configuration, testing, and crew response.
• Assure that rig and personnel comply with our established safety standards and procedures.
Requirements
• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering with 7 years of experience in drilling and workover operations, including supervisory experience on a drilling or workover rig.
• Or completion of ITC: English, ERW, Math, MI with 13 years relevant experience in drilling and workover operations, including supervisory experience generally acquired by progression on a drilling or workover rig.
• Willing to live in remote areas in mobile camps.
Benefits
• Monthly Base Salary – aligned with company employees with similar skills.
• Monthly Overbase – 25% of your monthly base salary.
• Benefits Supplement – 20% of your monthly base salary, increasing with years of service.
• Severance Package (2-year vest period) – year 2 to 5: 2 week's pay for each year of service, Year 6+: 4 week's pay for each year after.
• Employment Tax – if employee chooses to separate themselves from their 'home country' for income tax purposes, most will not be required to pay 'home country' income taxes.
• Employee Share Purchase Plan (ESPP) (eligible after 12 months of service) – maximum purchase equal to 10% monthly base pay with a cap, 20% share discount.
• Incentive Plan – annual; based on performance, approx. 1.8x monthly base salary.
• Travel Allowance – annual; approx. $8,200 per household member 11+ years old residing in Saudi Arabia.
• Vacation & Paid Holidays – 38 vacation days / 4 travel days / 11-13 paid holidays.
• Medical/Dental Plan – complimentary in-Kingdom Johns Hopkins medical care/facilities for employee and eligible family members.
• Educational Assistance Plan (EAP) – Out of Kingdom Assistance: 90% of expenses with a maximum per child, lesser of 5x monthly base salary or the company max ($48.5K).
• Settling in Allowance – one-time payment; Family Status - 100% of monthly base salary; Single/Bachelor Status – 60% of monthly base salary
