16 hours available.
Morning, Afternoons, evenings and weekends.

You will be required to work with a Lady in the Kendal area with an acquired brain injury in her home and the community. Our client is a well-educated person with a heart of gold and a passion for crafting, baking and music. She is a dog lover and has a rescue dog who is very timid at first meeting. Our client really enjoys attending activities in the community and is committed to her church visits on Sunday. This post will ideally suit someone with similar interests or someone who can positively engage in our clients’ interests. She also requires a person who will engage in daily household activities to promote her independence within her family unit.

The rate of pay for this is role is £11 per hour, depending on experience.

Duties

Your duties will include supporting our client with personal, social and leisure activities that promote independent living and inclusion including and not limited to:

• Personal care
• Cleaning duties
• Walking the dog
• Accessing the community for shopping, social and leisure activities, and therapy programmes such as hydrotherapy.

Key skills, knowledge and experience

• You should have previous experience of working with adults in their own home.
• Driving licence and car ownership is essential.
• You should be trained to NVQ/Diploma Level 2 in Health and Social Care (or have equivalent experience e.g., completed year 1/level 4 of a recognised health profession degree course).
• This post is subject to a Disclosure and Barring Service Check.
