Role Description
De Mould Academy is looking for a Mathematics Department Head to lead our mathematics, physics, and further mathematics curricula. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Enugu State. The Mathematics Department Head will provide educational leadership, develop and enhance the curriculum, and ensure that a high standard of teaching and learning is maintained. The successful candidate will also be responsible for supervising instructors within the department and preparing students for external examinations in mathematics and further mathematics.
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee the mathematics, physics, and further mathematics curricula.
• Provide strong educational leadership to the department.
• Develop and implement curriculum plans that meet educational standards.
• Ensure high-quality teaching and learning within the department.
• Supervise and mentor instructors in the Mathematics Department.
• Prepare examination classes for WAEC and NECO external examinations in mathematics and further mathematics.
Qualifications:
• B.Sc Ed/M.Ed in Mathematics Education, Science Education, Physics Education, or related fields.
• Minimum of five consecutive years as a WAEC and NECO examiner.
• Certified Teacher with TRCN qualification.
• Expertise in Mathematics and Physics Education.
• Strong skills in Curriculum Development and Educational Leadership.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in ICT and educational technology.
• Previous experience in a leadership role within an educational institution is preferred.
• Strong and demonstrable Christian leadership lifestyle of holiness and faithfulness. Candidates with a background in Deeper Life Bible Church (DLBC) or similar organizations are highly preferred and may be considered for a higher role.
