Job Description: Storekeeper at Ignition Club and Arena

Job Title: Storekeeper

Location: Ignition Club and Arena, Enugu State

Reports To: Inventory Manager/Club Manager

Job Type: Full-Time

Job Overview:

The Storekeeper at Ignition Club and Arena is responsible for managing the storage, organization, and distribution of all inventory, including beverages, food supplies, equipment, and other materials required for the smooth operation of the club, lounge, grill, and restaurant. The ideal candidate will ensure that stock levels are maintained, records are accurate, and that the storage area is safe, clean, and organized.

Key Responsibilities:
• Inventory Management:
• Receive, inspect, and properly store all supplies including beverages, food items, and club equipment.
• Accurately update stock records and maintain the inventory management system.
• Conduct regular stock counts, verify inventory levels, and report discrepancies to the management team.
• Stock Control:
• Monitor daily stock usage and ensure timely replenishment of high-demand items (e.g., drinks, ingredients).
• Prevent overstocking or stockouts by managing order cycles efficiently.
• Ensure all items are stored in proper conditions to maintain quality and prevent spoilage or damage.
• Order Fulfillment:
• Prepare and issue stock to bar, kitchen, and grill teams based on their requests, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Coordinate with suppliers for timely deliveries, ensuring all items meet quality and quantity specifications.
• Assist in checking and preparing supplies for events and busy periods.
• Record Keeping & Reporting:
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all incoming and outgoing inventory.
• Prepare and submit regular inventor reports to the Club Manager, highlighting any shortages or excess stock.
• Keep detailed logs of breakages, waste, and items issued to various departments.
• Store Organization & Cleanliness:
• Maintain a well-organized storage area, ensuring all items are labeled and arranged for easy access.
• Ensure the storage environment adheres to safety and hygiene standards.
• Perform routine cleaning and maintenance of the storage area, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations.
• Communication:
• Collaborate with kitchen, bar, and grill staff to ensure they have the supplies they need for smooth operations.
• Communicate with suppliers to resolve delivery issues or incorrect orders.
• Report any inventory or supply issues promptly to management.
• Safety & Compliance:
• Ensure proper handling and storage of all items, following safety standards to prevent accidents or contamination.
• Manage the storage of hazardous materials, such as cleaning supplies, in accordance with safety guidelines.

Qualifications:
• Education: Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent. Additional certification in logistics, warehousing, or inventory management is a plus.
• Experience: Previous experience as a storekeeper in the hospitality industry (restaurants, clubs, or lounges) is preferred.
• Skills:
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Proficiency in inventory management software and systems.
• Good communication skills for liaising with staff and suppliers.
• Basic math and record-keeping skills.
• Ability to work under pressure, especially during peak hours.

Physical Requirements:
• Ability to lift and carry heavy items (up to 12KG ) as required.
• Must be able to stand, walk, and move within the storage area for extended periods.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₦40,000.00 - ₦50,000.00 per month
