Job Description
To drive and manage the Bank’s Home Loans portfolio with a view to maximising the return on capital employed whilst maintaining an acceptable level of risk in terms of the Bank’s credit ethic.
To drive the balance sheet growth of the Bank’s secured lending portfolio growth with a view to maximize profitability by delivering a competitive product suite.
To manage growth to by liaising with channels, credit and segments and to direct and Manage the Bank’s Home Loans book in line with the Bank’s Long term and Short-term plan and policy, with a view of generating the highest return on capital employed, maintaining an efficient customer service, identifying and promoting new business to ensure growth without unmanageable risks.
Ensure growth in profit, balance sheet and sustainability indicators such as customer growth and retention, market share.
Home loan sales, new product research and development, customer service, training, performance management, annual cost/benefit analysis of existing products.
Preparation of detailed reports for committee and board meetings and related regulatory compliance
Ensuring a unified vision, strategies and goals to align business efforts across all product houses and channels that serve the customer
Pull strategic resources together (Marketing, Finance, Service, MI etc) to ensure efficiency, growth and profitability of the secured lending portfolio.
Developing strategies (product, marketing, sales, and service) to grow the business across segments and channels for retail banking.
Ensure strategic continuity between all segments within retail. (consumer, premier and premium)
Ensure robust pricing matrices are employed to maximize interest income for schemes and non-schemes loans to ensure market competitiveness and revenue growth.
Closely manage Home Loans portfolio growth in line with the bank’s risk appetite
Developing customer service improvement strategies and maintain strategic relationships with key stakeholders to achieve excellent customer experience.
Identifying product enhancement and pricing opportunities for growth of secured lending portfolio
Assess, analyze, define, recommend, implement and follow up market intelligence, and marketing plans in order to meet retail strategic objectives
Manage teams and individuals to high performance; namely sales Manager, Operations Manager
Manage relationship with top companies and schemes
Ensuring return on investment by managing pricing, expenditure in marketing and other controllable costs.
Qualifications & Experience:
Degree in Business or Finance related field
3 to 5 years’ experience in a financial institution.
