NTU International A/S is leading a consortium for a new EU funded project - Technical Assistance to National Institute of Statistics NISR and is looking to identify individual experts to carry out the assignment.
The objective of this assignment is to contribute to the modernization of statistics production in Rwanda and improve uptake of statistics across the National Statistics System.
Location: Kigali, Rwanda
Duration: The indicative start date is 30/11/2024 and the period of implementation of the contract will be 730 days from this date (indicative end date: 30/11/2026).
Natural Capital Accounting Expert (Cat. II)
The expert will have overall responsibility for technical assistance in natural capital accounts compilation and will report to the NISR.
Expert category: Home Based - Cat. II (>6 years of experience)
Qualifications and skills required:
• Advanced university degree (MA/MSc) or Masters’ degree in Environmental Economics, Environmental Science, Statistics Geography, Economics, or a related field.
• Language skills: English.
General professional experience:
Minimum 6 years in Natural Capital Accounting, environmental valuation, or ecosystem services.
Specific professional experience:
Proven experience in helping countries to institutionalise a sustainable natural capital accounts (NCA) programme.
Number of working days: 60 days
