Job Title: Penetration Tester
Duration: 7 months
Location: Hybrid (Onsite 2x days per week in Brussels)
Day Rate: €450-630 p/d
As a Pen tester/Red Teamer, is needed to join a growing business Cyber Security team in Brussels. They will contribute to proactive security testing, vulnerability assessment, and simulating real-world cyber-attacks to identify weaknesses in systems and infrastructure. This contract will run until end of 2024 with a good chance of extension into 2025.
Responsibilities
• Conduct penetration tests against systems, applications, and networks to identify vulnerabilities and weaknesses.
• Perform both black-box and white-box testing methodologies to simulate real-world attack scenarios.
• Plan and execute red team operations to assess the organization’s security posture and resilience against advanced cyber threats.
• Mimic the tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs) of real adversaries to identify gaps in defences.
• Collaborate with other CSIRT members to develop strategies for improving security controls and incident response capabilities.
• Perform regular vulnerability assessments and security audits to identify and prioritize security risks.
• Utilize automated scanning tools and manual techniques to discover vulnerabilities in systems, applications, and infrastructure.
• Provide recommendations for patching, configuration changes, and other remediation efforts.
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Security, or a related field, or equivalent experience
• At least 3-5 years of experience in cybersecurity, with a focus on penetration testing and red teaming.
• Relevant certifications such as OSCP, OSWE, GPEN, GXPN, or similar are preferred.
• Strong understanding of network protocols, operating systems, and application security
• Proficiency in using penetration testing tools such as Metasploit, Burp Suite, Nmap, etc.
• Experience with red teaming techniques, including social engineering, phishing, and physical security assessments.
• Familiarity with industry-standard frameworks and methodologies such as MITRE ATT&CK, OWASP, etc.
• Knowledge of scripting languages (Python, PowerShell, Bash) for automation and tool development
• Strong written and spoken fluency in English; additional fluency in Dutch and/or French is a plus.
