Job Description
Minimum 8 yrs of experience on SQL Database administration.
• Install, upgrade, and manage database, Instance ( SQl Server 2008,2012, 2014, 2016, 2017, 2019)
• Proactive monitoring of SQL server environment
• Set and maintain database standards.
• Scripting knowledge for DB monitoring & administration related tasks
• Database space management
• Strong understand of database backup, restore & recovery
• Create, manage users and database access management
• Install SQL server service packs, updates/patches & SQL server upgrade
• Assist to developers/other teams for application, query slowness issue & T-SQL query tuning
• Support refresh activities
• Support planned DB maintenance & other release deployment activities from DB end
• Develop/Update/Maintain SQL DB administration related SOPs & Runbooks
• Havinng good Knowledge on Cloud environment is plus
• Knowledge in Commvault SQL Backups
• Identifying and Resolving fragmentation and performance issues
• Deploy database change scripts provided by third party vendors.
• Finding DMV queries to answer questions about server-level performance.
• Hands on experience in Migration activites
• On-call duty 24/7 support in case of emergency.
• Troubleshoot MS-SQL Server service outages as they occur, including after-hours and weekends
• Familiarity with SSAS, SSIS, SSRS
• Experience in establishing High Availability configurations including: SQL Mirroring, SQL Clustering, Always-On Failover Clustering, Always-On Availability Groups, and log-shipping
• Advanced knowledge of database security
• Experience with incident and problem queue management.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
