Traffic Operator Nights
Working within a busy Traffic Office at Bicker the main responsibilities will include:-
• Cost effectively planning and routing vehicles to achieve contractual delivery times together with effectively managing live changes to the plan to ensure customer satisfaction at all times
• Managing backfill efficiencies
• To actively identify solutions to problems and cost savings in line with continuous improvement initiatives,
• To ensure all traffic duties are carried out as necessary and to a high level of accuracy and professionalism.
• Ensure compliance with drivers hours, working time and tachographs
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in a food orientated logistics business with a sound understanding of driver regulations, geographical knowledge of the UK and experienced in the use of subcontractors and agencies.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work within a team and using own initiatives are paramount to this role as are full pc skills and the ability to learn new computerized systems quickly.
Shift pattern: Thursday to Saturday with alternate Wednesdays – 12 hour shifts
