The Zimbabwe Academic Research Network (ZARNet) is inviting applications from suitably qualified and experienced candidates for the following position that has arisen within the Organisation.

POSITION: HEAD MARKETING AND BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT

DEPARTMENT: MARKETING AND BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT

REPORTS TO: THE CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER

The Head of Marketing and Business Development will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing our digital marketing strategy. Lead a talented team of marketing professionals and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to drive business growth and achieve measurable results. Expertise in digital marketing will be instrumental in developing and implementing effective marketing campaigns, expanding our online presence, and driving lead- generation efforts.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Setting marketing targets and religiously implementing them Develop and execute a comprehensive digital marketing strategy aligned with company goals and

objectives. Lead and guide a high-performing marketing team, fostering a culnire of innovation, collaboration, and excellence.

Drive brand awareness and visibility through strategic digital marketing campaigns across various channels, including search engine optimization (SEO) search engine marketing (SEM), social media,

email marketing, content marketing, and more Analyse market trends and customer insights to identify growth opportunities and develop targeted

marketing initiatives. Monitor and measure the effectiveness of marketing campaigns using relevant analytics tools and metrics, and make data-driven recommendations for optimization.

Collaborate with the sales team to generate qualified leads and support the conversion of leads into customers.

Stay up-to-date with the latest digital marketing trends, tools, and best practices, and implement innovative strategies to stay ahead of the competition.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred. Proven track record of successfully developing and executing digital marketing strategies that drive

business growth.

Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a team toward achieving ambitious goals.

Deep understanding of digital marketing channels, including SEO, SEM, social media, email marketing. and content marketing.

Proficiency in utilizing digital marketing tools and platforms, such as Google Analytics, CRM systems. and marketing automation software.

Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data, draw insights, and make data-driven decisions.

Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively articulate complex ideas and strategies to both internal and external stakeholders.

Demonstrated ability to adapt to a fast-paced, evolving digital landscape and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
