Role OverviewThe Human Resources Coordinator will support the Human Resources department in policy development, review, and implementation. The position is based in Kigali with occasional travel to Butaro. This role will be a critical addition to the HR department for ensuring constant HR coordination with all academic and non-academic departments.
ResponsibilitiesContribute to the development and review of human resource policies
Conduct literature reviews
Provide support in formatting policies
Follow up with team leads to collect feedback on challenges and successes in implementing HR policies
Assist with the collection of staff compliance documents and feedback from staff regarding existing policies
Assist with preparing presentations
Participate in the preparation of HR reports as it may be requested or required in the department
Work closely with the Human Resources team to assist in other HR administrative tasks and projects
Skills and ExperienceItems indicated with an asterisk (*) are required
Previous experience in human resources management or related field*
Excellent written communication skills, as evidenced by experience drafting reports, policies, or best practices*
Experience developing or managing HR policies
Passion for the work and mission of the University of Global Health Equity
Strong attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills
Ability to multitask and meet critical deadlines
Strong verbal communication skills, with experience facilitating trainings, presentations or workshops
Excellent interpersonal skills
Ability to handle sensitive information
Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Power Point Presentation and Outlook
Ability to work in a fast-paced and a multicultural environment
About the OrganizationThe University of Global Health Equity (UGHE) is a new kind of university focused on training the next generation of global leaders in health care delivery. The university launched in Rwanda in September 2015 with its flagship degree program: the Master of Science in Global Health Delivery.
