Grassroots Transformation Initiative Uganda (GTI Uganda) is a humanitarian and developmental Non-Governmental Organization which has been making a difference in the lives of children, youths, women and extremely vulnerable individuals in the grassroots communities in both central and northern parts of Uganda. GTI Uganda thrives to attain a literate, healthy and empowered community which thrives above poverty level. GTI Uganda is driven by a mission to promote community wellness and development with a vision to attain a “healthy, literate and empowered community which can holistically address their community challenges and needs†. The organization through its interventions seeks to transform communities into strong, empowered and literate communities which can demand for better services, participate in decision making, solve their own challenges and needs hence an asset for positive community change and development.

The organization implements programs in four thematic areas of Education, Health, WASH and Livelihood in the districts of Kampala, Nakasongola, Wakiso and Gulu in Northern Uganda.

GTI Uganda with anticipated funding from the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) through Uganda Sanitation for Health Activity (USHA) is soon rolling out a Sanitation for Hygiene project using the Community Led Total Sanitation (CLTS) methodology in Paicho Sub County in Gulu District. The project aims at eliminating the practice of open defecation in the 100 targeted communities and achievement of WASH friendliness in 5 Primary Schools Paicho Sub County in Gulu District by 2020/2021.The objectives of the Sanitation for Health project is to increase the number of people accessing basic latrines in 100 villages, increase number of people practicing safe hygiene behaviors especially hand washing with soap and to improve school WASH friendly practices for 5 primary schools in Paicho Sub-county.

GTI Uganda is therefore looking for experienced, committed and professional individuals to fill the following vacancies:
