Are you an experienced Removals Driver looking for a new opportunity in Plymouth? We're seeking reliable and professional individuals to join our team as Removals Drivers / Porters. Youll be working on domestic removals, assisting residential customers with moving their belongings safely and efficiently.
This is a temp-to-perm role, and the rate of pay is £13.00 per hour
Key Responsibilities:
Safely driving 3.5 tonne Luton vans for local and long-distance removals.
Loading and unloading vans with care, ensuring all items are packed securely.
Completing delivery paperwork and documentation accurately.
Providing regular updates to customers regarding their items during the move.
Adhering to all legal and company policies and procedures.
Maintaining a high level of customer service and professionalism at all times.
Key Requirements:
Full Clean Driving Licence
with experience driving large vans (preferably 3.5 tonne Luton vans).
Previous experience
in the removals industry and loading/packing removals vans is essential.
Physically fit and able to handle the demands of manual lifting and moving heavy items.
Reliable and punctual , with the ability to stick to agreed schedules.
Good communication skills
with the ability to update customers and work effectively as part of a team.
Smart, well-presented, and customer-focused with a polite and courteous attitude.
Attention to detail, ensuring all paperwork and deliveries are accurate and complete.
Ability to problem-solve and stay calm under pressure.
Shift Details:
Usual start time of
8 AM .
Shift lengths vary between
6, 8, and 10 hours , depending on the workload.
Occasional long-distance jobs will require overnight stays (hotel accommodation and expenses covered).
