• *Overview
- We now wish to recruit a
- **Project Manager** for an offshore project. This person will work in Brussels but will also have to be prepared to travel to visit sites at the Belgian coast.
• *Responsibilities
• *As part of the Princess Elisabeth Island project team**:
- You are a safety leader, continuously looking for safety enhancements
- You ensure timely delivery as well as quality and safety of your assigned tasks
- You seek out opportunities to bring additional benefit to the project
- You report pro-actively and regularly regarding status and progress of your responsibilities
- You can independently manage and implement specific work packages and engage with relevant contractors, authorities and internal experts where required.
• *As Project Lead UXO**:
- You are part of the cable package and report to the package manager;
- You work in a multi-disciplinary team of project leaders, project engineers, surveyors, procurement officer, HSE advisors, PMO officer,
- You are responsible for the execution of the UXO surveys, and the consequential identification and removal campaign
- You are responsible for delivering the UXO scope for the Offshore Cable scope of the projects, with activities such as:
- Development of the tender package with a focus on the project’s technical requirements
- Review and evaluation of bids and technical lead during negotiations.
- Follow-up of contractors’ engineering and project management
- Act as first point of contact throughout project execution and engage with the UXO Contractor, UXO expert and relevant authorities
- Control and assure quality and safety during on-site activities.
- Ensure the implementation of prevailing contractual requirements.
• *Qualifications
- You have at least 5 years of working experience in the offshore sector
- You have a Masters in Engineering
- You have excellent oral and written communication skills
- You are a team player
- You are organised and results-oriented
- You can work under pressure
- You are proactive and a problem-solver
- You can prioritise and act accordingly
- You can work in an international project environment
- You enjoy technical challenges and are a quick learner
- You have entrepreneurial skills and are not deterred by challenges
- You speak fluently English (oral & writing), Dutch and/or French are a plus
- You are willing to do short business trips to contractors, vendors etc. (if necessary
