Job Title: Part-time Wellness Coordinator
Location: Hybrid/ Frederiksted, St. Croix USVI
Hours: 20 hours per week (weekdays + some weekends as needed)
Rate: $22.50 per hour
Department: Wellness Programming
Reports To: Clinical Director
Position Overview:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Wellness Coordinator to join our team at Greater Changes. This role is central to our mission of improving the well-being of clients by providing direct support, facilitating access to community resources, and promoting healthy lifestyle choices through education and community engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
• Client Support:
• Serve as the Wellness Center's primary contact, addressing client needs and concerns with compassion and efficiency.
• Foster a positive, supportive community environment to enhance clients' well-being.
• Provide direct assistance and resources to clients to improve their quality of life.
• Community Referrals:
• Connect clients with relevant community resources and services to support their health and wellness needs.
• Facilitate referrals for additional support services as necessary, ensuring seamless access to required resources.
• Community Health Educator:
• Actively educate clients on health-related topics, preventive measures, and wellness strategies.
• Promote healthy lifestyle choices and well-being through various community engagement initiatives, including workshops, seminars, and health fairs.
Required Qualifications:
• Proven experience in community outreach, social services, or a similar role.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with great attention to detail in documentation.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to address client concerns effectively.
• Familiarity with local community resources and a proven ability to facilitate referrals.
• Knowledge of health-related topics, preventive measures, and wellness promotion.
• Ability to work collaboratively with other team members and community organizations.
• Demonstrated empathy and cultural sensitivity, with an ability to effectively work with diverse populations
