What You'll Do
• Install and maintain the performance of database servers.
• Develop processes for optimizing database security.
• Set and maintain database standards.
• Manage database access.
• Performance tuning of database systems.
• Install, upgrade, and manage database applications.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot database errors.
• Recommend and implement emerging database technologies.
• Create and manage database reports, visualizations, and dashboards.
• Create automation for repeating database tasks.
• Be available for on-call support as needed.
What You Know
• A minimum of 8 years of proven professional experience is required.
• Expert knowledge of the Software Delivery Lifecycle, Security Compliance, and Agile methodology and considered a leading expert in Database Management & Administration.
• Expert knowledge of SQL databases such as MariaDB, Oracle SQL, and PostgreSQL.
• Expert knowledge of managing databases in adherence to PCI/PII and SOX Compliance Regulations.
• Expert problem solver, able to troubleshoot, debug and proactively prevent and resolve database issues.
• Specialized technical expert with experience in supporting, migrating, building, and scaling databases in the Cloud such as Microsoft Azure.
• Knowledgeable in Python for scripting database utilities and migrations.
• Understands that collaboration and communication is key to success.
Education
• CS degree or equivalent experience
