Group Finance aims to deliver world-class standards in reporting, financial planning and finance processes. We provide insights and analyses that help the bank make sound business decisions – whether in the areas of product development or customer profitability. We also provide capital management, business planning, forecasting, and tax and accounting advisory services.
Responsibilities
• Implement comprehensive financial planning and management reporting process of DBS HK / business units, including but not limited to month end actual financial book closing and annual budget.
• Prepare and analyze HK financial data and performance indicators to identify areas for improvement and recommend actionable strategies to stakeholders.
• Produce quarter end financial reports and presentations for board meetings and local senior management meetings.
• Oversee businesses units controllership function including general ledger posting, general ledger account reconciliation, and financial reporting.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support effective financial decision-making and resource allocation.
• Liaise effectively with key business stakeholders regarding business financials
• Utilize visualization tools effectively including but not limited Tableau / Qlik Sense for financial performance tracking
• Prepare cost management financial reporting, including cost allocation and explaining monthly variances
• Collaborate with risk management stakeholders on allowances
• Support central finance functions including ICAAP and stress testing
Requirement
• Degree holder with major in Accounting and Finance
• 8-10 years' relevant experience in management reporting work from financial institutions
• Professional certifications such as qualified accountant, CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) or FRM (Financial Risk Manager) are highly desirable.
• Knowledge of financial software and data visualization tools including but not limited to Hyperion, GL system, Tableau, Qlik Sense
• Extensive experience in financial planning and analytics, specifically within the financial services industry.
• Excellent analytical thinking and problem-solving, adept at transforming intricate data into practical insights and recommendations.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all financial analyses and reporting.
• Outstanding communication and presentation abilities, proficient in effectively communicating complex financial concepts to stakeholders.
• Proven ability to collaborate seamlessly and build strong interpersonal relationships, fostering effective teamwork across cross-functional teams and engaging with senior management.’
