A leading global investment bank is seeking an Application Support Engineer specialized in Sales & Research for the Equities business. They are currently expanding into the China market and need to add a new headcount. This team operates within CIB Global Markets, covering the APAC region, including Hong Kong, China, India, and more. This position involves a mix of production support and business analysis. You will be responsible for Sales & Research projects as well as BAU support.
Job descriptions:
• Provide functional and technical support for the Research Website, CRM, and related systems, ensuring effective delivery of requirements in collaboration with vendors and global development teams.
• Conduct Quality Assurance and User Acceptance Testing, manage production deployments, and handle system upgrades.
• Analyze business requirements, offer solutions, and assist in project implementation while communicating timelines to stakeholders.
• Manage daily production issues and user requests, ensuring timely resolutions and clear communication with clients while maintaining regular interaction with business users and development teams.
• Ensure high system availability through continuous monitoring and work with IT Security and Infrastructure teams for platform maintenance.
• Follow ITIL Application Support practices for incident and change management, and participate in the support roster, including shift work as required. Requirments:
• Degree in IT/Computer Science with 5+ years of experience in software development and support.
• Conversational proficiency in English and Mandarin is a must.
• Hands-on experience with Windows, Linux, Oracle, SQL, PowerShell, VBA, HTML/JavaScript, and Java is essential.
• Experience in Python, C#, or Apache is an advantage.
• Knowledge of Equities or Research is a plus.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and adaptability to a fast-paced working environment. Suitable candidates will be offered a 12-month renewable secondment contract and a competitive package
