Job Description

The HR Officer will be required to display a wide range of knowledge, skill and expertise within the area of HR . The HR Officer will be expected to assist the business within the Limpopo and surrounding regions with any HR related queries.. The role plays a pivotal part in fostering a positive and productive workplace culture.

Duties And Responsibilities
• Communicating and assisting stores with HR related matters and queries
• Assist to implement and improve systems and procedures related to the HR department
• Ensure the updating interpretation and implementation of Organization Policies, Procedures and Agreements
• Prepare and present best practice solutions to the business to minimize risks, including management reporting and benchmarking statistics
• Assist in training and development at store level
• Executing of IPM
• Maintain current knowledge of tools and best practices within Employee Relations
• Day to day HR/ IR advice to Managers/ Directors/ Employees
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and objectivity even when dealing with controversial issues
• Chairing Disciplinary hearings
• Appearances at the CCMA for inter alia: Con / Arb processes, Conciliation, Recession Hearings
• Dealing with internal greivances (Group and individual)
• Counseling, Evaluation and Training of staff
• Incapacity Investigations (Poor Work Performance and Ill Health
• Facilitating Retrenchment procedures
• Drafting / or perusing of Recognitions agreements/ wage and or any other agreements pertaining to Employee/ Union related matters
• Strike attendances and settlements

Requirements
• Qualification in Human Resource Management
• Knowledge of LRA; BCEA; SDLA; OHSA; COIDA; UIA; UI Contribution Act; SDA and EEA
• Be a good negotiator and conflict handler
• Ability to multitask Reliability, dependable and responsible Accuracy and efficiency
• MS Office Suite experience
• 3 - 5 Years’ experience in HR/IR Generalist
• Valid driver’s licence and travel to sites on occasion
• Attention to detail
• Excellent communication , management , organisational and problem solving skills
• Fluency in Tsonga and Venda (will be advantageous)
