The Museum's mission will be further by the Curator's efforts to increase scholarly and public understanding of photography's historical and cultural impact. The museum's curator will work closely with their counterparts in the departments of Curatorial, Education, Advancement, Public Affairs, and Information Technology, among others.

Job Title : Curator - Hybrid Remote

Qualifications:
• Volunteers should be actively sought out, assigned appropriate responsibilities, and monitored closely to ensure they are receiving adequate instruction.
• Deeds and contracts with storage facilities are required. Performs cost-benefit analyses of purchases and donations, maintains a record of loans, and checks for compliance with policies and procedures.
• Write up your findings on the design, technology, culture, and historical significance of computers for publication in academic journals or scholarly books.
• Participating in the Long-Term Development and Management of Collections and Related Information
• Establish and keep solid cooperative ties with other city agencies, private vendors, community organizations, and educational institutions.
• Keeps up with current research and historical arguments and looks for ways to implement them into programming rather than ignoring them.
• The successful candidate will be responsible for managing projects, conducting research, coordinating exhibitions and loans, and working to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
• You get to direct and take part in the day-to-day operations of collection management. Manages the museum's stewardship responsibilities, such as collecting and preserving objects, artwork, photos, and documents.
• Aid in making sure the museum system is living up to its promise of providing equal access to its programs and services for people of all backgrounds.
• Serves as the public's initial point of contact via phone, email, and in-person interactions. Delivers process descriptions and conducts initial reference interviews. Observes the timeliness, accuracy, and completeness standards set by the relevant department. The department's policy mandates that all interactions be documented.

Skills:
• Work experience in a museum setting comparable to that gained by completing a four-year program.
• Abilities to work together and build and keep good rapport with coworkers, volunteers, and the public at large are displayed.
• Skills in creating and revising metadata for digital collections, finding aids, and other types of archival descriptions.
• Keep a good work-life balance, listen to and consider the opinions of others, and take criticism well to help the team grow closer together. You'll need to exude confidence and determination if you want to make it as an executive.
• Ability to effectively and exceptionally communicate in writing and verbally with museum staff and external stakeholders; experience giving presentations; working knowledge of museum best practices
