Are you passionate about strategic communication and stakeholder engagement? We’re seeking an experienced Outreach Expert to join our team at ICF Next.
As a Senior Public Relations Officer, you will play a crucial role in shaping our communication strategies and building strong relationships with stakeholders across the European Union.
You will integrate a diverse and dynamic team committed to deliver high level expertise in public relations working on EU related communication projects.
Responsibilities:
• Develop a forward-thinking vision for stakeholder management and communication strategy. Collaborate closely with strategists, creatives, and other public relations colleagues to ensure alignment. The job also entails drafting comprehensive public relations and stakeholder engagement strategies.
• Initiate ground-breaking public relations and stakeholder engagement activities. Your creativity will be key as you explore new approaches to storytelling and relationship-building.
• Develop and oversee the implementation of innovative tactics to engage European and national associations, local communities, and other key stakeholders on EU related topics. Establish and maintain strong connections with key EU associations in Brussels.
• Integrate public relations and stakeholder strategies seamlessly into campaigns, events, and digital initiatives. Support clients in achieving their objectives through effective communication.
• Present the impact of public relations and stakeholder engagement activities to clients, demonstrating the value of our efforts.
• Participate actively in agency marketing activities, including awards submissions.
• Facilitate the development of new PR and stakeholder engagement services within the agency, leveraging AI solutions where applicable.
• Stay informed about industry-related news and generate fresh ideas around trending topics. Engage in industry-related events to network and stay at the forefront of communication trends.
• Coach junior colleagues on specific projects and campaigns.
Experience/skills:
• 10+ years relevant experience in the field of communication and stakeholder engagement with ideally a previous experience in working in relation with the EU institutions;
• Ability to think innovatively; develop creative solutions and new programs;
• Previous experience on PR awards campaigns;
• Solid network in the field of PR industry;
• Ability to develop and cultivate relationships with clients and key stakeholders;
• Understanding of media relations, media partnerships and advertising is desired;
• Highly organized, able to provide expertise across multiple complex projects at the same time;
• Self-motivated with the ability to work on own initiative and a “can do” attitude.
• Strong problem solving, analytical, and organisational skills;
• Ability to collaborate effectively across multiple teams and stakeholders to achieve goals;
• Fluent in English and another European language (written and verbal);
• Excellent verbal, interpersonal, and written communication skills;
• Holds a Master’s degree or equivalent combination of education & experience in areas of related disciplines;
• Good understanding of the EU institutions would be a plus.
