Job Description For Food and Beverage Manager(HOZ91645) in Placencia,Belize. Description The Food & Beverage Manager at The Placencia Resort is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the resort's food and beverage operations. This includes managing restaurants, bar, and events & catering services to ensure guest satisfaction by delivering the highest quality of service whilst maintaining & improving F&B profitability. The role involves strategic planning, staff management, budgeting, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.Key Responsibilities:Operational Management:Oversee daily operations of all food and beverage outlets, Front of HouseEnsure efficient, high-quality service that meets Hyatt's standards on a local level.Develop and implement operational policies and procedures.Financial Management:Prepare and manage budgets, monitor financial performance, and control costs.Conduct financial analysis and reporting and implement strategies to increase revenue and profitability.Negotiate with suppliers and manage inventory & stock take.Staff Management:Recruit, train, supervise, and appraise staff as per Hyatt's policies and local requirementsSchedule staff shifts and manage labour costs.Foster a positive working environment and ensure staff are motivated and aligned with the resort's and the company's goals.Guest Experience:Maintain high standards of customer service and ensure guest satisfaction.Handle guest complaints and feedback professionally.Menu Development:Collaborate with the Chef to create and update menus.Beverage knowledge is essential to create beverage menus packages and to implement new trends in the beverage operation. Ensure menu items are profitable and meet quality standards.Keep abreast of industry trends and incorporate new ideas.Compliance and Safety:Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene standards.Conduct regular inspections and audits.Implement and monitor food safety programs.Hyatt associates work in an environment that demands exceptional performance yet reaps great rewards.
