Job Title:Director of Leadership Development and Competency Framework

Location: Jakarta

Department: Human Resources (HR)

Reports to: Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO)

Job Type: Full-Time

Client Details : An Indonesian holding company primarily focused on mining services

Job Summary:

The Director of Leadership Development and Competency Framework will lead the design, implementation, and continuous enhancement of the Group’s Executive Development and Competency Framework. This role is responsible for aligning leadership development programs with the company’s strategic objectives, ensuring executives are equipped with the skills, knowledge, and behaviors required to drive business growth. The role will also oversee succession planning, performance management, and leadership capability assessments across the Group.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership Development Strategy:
• Design and implement a comprehensive executive development strategy aligned with the Group’s strategic goals.
• Lead the creation and rollout of a Leadership Competency Framework to identify and develop executive capabilities.
• Collaborate with senior leaders to assess leadership needs and align development programs with business requirements.

Executive Coaching and Development:
• Develop and manage leadership programs, including executive coaching, mentoring, and external partnerships with leadership academies.
• Provide personalized development plans for senior leaders, ensuring they are prepared for future leadership challenges.

Competency Framework Development:
• Define core leadership competencies required for success at different levels within the organization.
• Ensure competency frameworks are integrated into recruitment, performance management, talent reviews, and succession planning.

Succession Planning & Talent Pipeline:
• Lead the Group’s succession planning efforts, identifying high-potential talent for key leadership roles.
• Develop strategies for building a robust pipeline of future leaders to ensure business continuity.

Stakeholder Management:
• Partner with the CHRO, executive leadership, and business heads to understand organizational priorities and design leadership development initiatives that align with these needs.
• Communicate with key stakeholders on the progress and impact of development programs.

Performance Management:
• Design and implement performance management processes that incorporate leadership competency frameworks.
• Support senior leaders in aligning their performance goals with strategic business objectives.

Organizational Development:
• Conduct regular assessments of the organization’s leadership capabilities and make data-driven recommendations for improvement.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends in leadership development and implement best practices.

Key Qualifications:

Education:
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Master’s degree in Organizational Development, HR Management, or Leadership Development is preferred.

Experience:
• 12+ years of experience in Leadership Development, Talent Management, or Organizational Development, preferably within a large, complex organization.
• Proven track record of designing and implementing leadership development programs for senior executives.
• Experience in creating and managing competency frameworks.

Skills & Competencies:
• Strong understanding of leadership development methodologies and best practices.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence senior executives.
• Analytical mindset, with the ability to assess leadership capabilities and make data-driven recommendations.
• Strong project management skills with the ability to lead cross-functional initiatives.
• Fluency in Bahasa Indonesia is an added advantage
