Job Summary:
Housing TV Africa seeks a skilled and detail-oriented Master Control Operator to oversee our broadcast operations. The Master Control Operator will ensure smooth, high-quality on-air content transmission, manage broadcast equipment, and handle live feeds.
This is a critical role that requires technical expertise, quick problem-solving skills, and a strong commitment to maintaining broadcast standards.
Key Responsibilities:
• Monitor and control on-air broadcast signals, ensuring flawless transmission.
• Operate and troubleshoot master control equipment, including video servers, broadcast automation systems, and switchers.
• Schedule and manage live feeds, advertisements, and recorded content for accurate airing.
• Implement emergency protocols swiftly in case of transmission issues, coordinating with technical teams to resolve problems.
• Collaborate with programming and production teams to execute changes and updates to the broadcast schedule.
• Ensure all broadcast content complies with regulatory standards and company policies.
Requirements:
• Proven experience as a Master Control Operator, Broadcast Technician, or in a similar role.
• Solid understanding of broadcast operations, signal flow, and master control room equipment.
• Proficiency in broadcast automation systems and video switching.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to work under pressure.
• Excellent attention to detail, with a focus on accuracy and reliability.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays if required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Engineering, Communications, or a related field is preferred.
