STANDARD QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
Education : Have completed secondary education – Experience : 3 or more years or more of professional experience at increasingly higher levels of responsibility in the corresponding business field with experience in general administrative work.
Knowledge & Skills : Mastery of the use of office equipment, computer software packages (Office Pack)
Knowledge of routines and work methods in order to carry out processes under minimal supervision
Demonstrates tact and courtesy in giving and receiving information to a wide range of people.
Ability to identify discrepancies in data and rectify issues requiring attention.
Ability to provide guidance or basic on-the-job training to younger staff.
Language : Fluency in oral and written communication in the UN language used at the duty station and in the language of the duty station, if different.
ORGANIZATIONAL CONTEXT
These jobs are located at Headquarters (HQ), Regional Bureaus (RB) and Country Offices (CO). Job holders generally report to the budget and programming manager. Incumbents at this level demonstrate responsibility and initiative to independently respond to complex requests with general advice only. Judgment is required to deal with unforeseen problems on a daily basis. Position holders support the management of financial resources and may provide advice to other staff members.
POSITION OBJECTIVE
Provide standard business support processes for a specific professional work area, to facilitate efficient service delivery.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES (non-exhaustive)
Review budget plans, monitor and analyze project financial performance and make recommendations in accordance with WFP financial policies and procedures and best practices, to support financial analysis and value for money. Provide a comprehensive analysis of fund and grant balances, identifying surpluses and deficits, and suggest corrective actions to support maximum utilization of funds and decision-making process. Support pipeline management by providing effective monitoring, to prevent and address pipeline ruptures and maximize operational efficiency.
Enter budget plans and project revisions into company systems, to ensure data is captured timely and accurately, facilitating access to information and supporting planning and management. decision. Review, compile and analyze data, maintain accurate records and records and prepare periodic and ad hoc reports, to ensure the accuracy and effectiveness of information presented to internal and external stakeholders.
Maintain communication with a number of stakeholders regarding project fund management issues and related processes, to clarify any discrepancies and optimize the use of funds.
