Facility in Santa Cruz, CA seeking Endocrinology locums coverage
Rates: $280/hr
Position Overview:
Facility is seeking a Board Certified Endocrinologist to provide locum tenens coverage for three days per week. The position is available as soon as the provider is credentialed and may extend from August through January 2025, with the possibility of continuation through April 2025. The role includes direct patient care, follow-ups, new patient visits, message management, prescription refills, and performing thyroid biopsies.
Schedule & Duties:
• Schedule:
• 3 days per week (8:00 AM - 5:00 PM), flexible on days
• Night call: 1-5 calls per month
• Duties: Direct patient care including follow-ups, new patients, visit documentation, message management, prescription refills, and thyroid biopsies
• Required Procedures: Thyroid Ultrasound (at provider's discretion)
• Patients per Day: 13-15
• EMR: Cerner
Required Qualifications:
• Board Certification in Endocrinology (REQUIRED)
• California State License (REQUIRED)
• BLS Certification (REQUIRED)
• Clean Malpractice Record (Strongly Preferred)
• Residency/Fellowship Requirements: Not applicable
Requirements:
• Documents Required for Full Presentation Packet:
• Up-to-date CV (with explanations for any gaps greater than 30 days)
• Malpractice documentation (including all cases, dates, and payouts)
• Disciplinary actions (with detailed explanations)
• Copy of Board Certification(s)
• California State License
• Supporting certifications (DEA, BLS, ACLS, ATLS, NRP, PALS)
• Copy of clean Sex Offender search
